Bridge of St. Clodio

The bridge of St Clodio, crossing the Avia, is declared as Nacional Monument since 1981. It was built in the 15th century and renewed in the 18th century. It has a wide central arch of 19m of light, crowed by a simple cross, and other smaller lateral arches.

It is part of the artistic heritage of Ribeiro de Avia that went all across the old road network that linked Ribadavia with the villages and wine farms of the Valley of Avia, going on up to Santiago de Compostela. The historical villages of Barzamedelle and Ponte San Clodio are located in the nearby.
