Avia Bridges Viewpoint
Behind the Ethnological Museum visitor can observe the Ponte de Ferro (Iron Bridge) dating from 1881 (Eiffel style), built to join the railway from Ourense to Vigo. This route runs parallel to the banks of the Miño River, one of the most gorgeous routes in the Iberian Peninsula. It goes next to the Ribadavia Historical Site crossing the Avia River. In the nearby, up the river, the Ponte de San Francisco (Saint Francisco Bridge), at the foot of St. Francisco Monastery (both from the XII-XIII centuries) gives access to Ribadavia.
